GM Provides Grants

The Gen­eral Motors Foun­da­tion announced that it has donated a total of $25,000 to three non­profit orga­ni­za­tions in the Defi­ance com­mu­nity through the Plant City Grants pro­gram.

The orga­ni­za­tions receiv­ing the funds included the Defi­ance Area YMCA, $2,500; Defi­ance Area Foun­da­tion, $10,000; and the United Way of Defi­ance County, $12,500.

The GM Foun­da­tion grants, accord­ing to Gen­eral Motors, are given to a wide vari­ety of orga­ni­za­tions across the coun­try that fam­i­lies rely on to pro­vide much needed ser­vices, improve edu­ca­tion and impact the qual­ity of life within their respec­tive com­mu­ni­ties. The grants to these orga­ni­za­tions and insti­tu­tions will make these com­mu­ni­ties even greater places to work, live and grow.
