Some money for some local law enforcement efforts…

The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Safety Office has awarded $26,417 in federal traffic safety funding to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office plans to put the money to use to fund several blitz campaigns, including their participation in the “Click It or Ticket It” and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” national campaigns in the coming year.

The funds are given out to support the efforts of safety partners statewide and focus on traffic safety priority areas such as restraint use, impaired driving, motorcycle safety and youthful drivers.
