NSCCEA Pushes For Resolution

Nearly sixty-three days have passed since the October Board of Trustees Meeting when Professional and Support Staff members of the Northwest State Community College Education Association (NSCCEA) issued a vote of ‘No Confidence’ in the President and his Cabinet for reasons of a long-standing pattern of centralized decision-making, lack of accountability from upper-level management, and the failure to honor shared agreements.

Since the first days of October, there has been no institutional response from either the President or the Cabinet members, and the NSCCEA is concerned that the college is locked into a prolonged leadership crisis. On Friday, , the Board of Trustees will hold its next regular meeting at 1:00 p.m. at Defiance Regional Medical Center, 1200 Ralston Avenue, Defiance. At Friday’s meeting, the NSCCEA will call upon the Board to act to encourage the College President and Cabinet members to work with their Professional and Staff Employees.
