A man driving an old police cruiser was involved in a police chase, but he was on the wrong end of it in the end. 25 year old Brian Hulbert, Sr. of Mark Center lost control of his 1993 Ford Crown Victoria during a police pursuit that started around 7:45 Wednesday morning in Hicksville when he was pulled over for a traffic violation. Hulbert sped off on Spencerville Road, but lost control on a curve near the Indiana state line. His car went into a ditch, then straight up into the air, coming down and spinning around, and finally landing back on the road facing the other direction. Hulbert was taken to the Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. His dog, which was riding in the vehicle with him during the pursuit, was taken to a veterinary clinic. The investigation is continuing, and charges against Hulbert are pending.
