On Monday, a jury was finally chosen for the murder trial of Steven Noffsinger in Paulding County. The 59 year old Noffsinger, of Defiance, is charged with aggravated murder in connection with the death of his ex-wife, Alma Noffsinger, whose body was found in her home in Oakwood back in 1981. Now, Noffsinger’s trial is clear to get underway. Jurors were told yesterday that Noffsinger himself will not take the stand in his defense. 90 prospective jurors were called, and jury selection lasted more than five hours. Although jurors will not be sequestered, they were instructed that they are not allowed to post anything on social media regarding the case, nor are they allowed to discuss it with anyone.
