A Stryker man is accused of holding a woman against her will and assaulting her with a knife. According to Williams County Prosecutor Kirk Yosick, 23 year old Jochua Smallwood, on April 10, kept a woman confined to a home and would not allow her to leave. Smallwood allegedly also beat the woman and used a knife to inflict injury. Smallwood was indicted Wednesday by a Williams County grand jury. The charges against him include felonious assault; abduction; and domestic violence. He’s no stranger to the law either. Smallwood was convicted in 2013 of aggravated burglary, and also of charges surrounding the carrying of a concealed weapon in Paulding County. Smallwood is due to be arraigned in Williams County Court on Monday morning.
