Deadly Motorcycle Crash In Defiance

Two peo­ple were killed Sun­day evening in a motor­cy­cle crash in Defi­ance. 32 year old Andrew Her­sh­berger was pro­nounced dead at the scene of that acci­dent. His pas­sen­ger, 31 year old Shamenn Moun­sey, was taken by ambu­lance to Mercy Defi­ance Hosp­tial, then air­lifted to Mercy St. Vin­cent Med­ical Cen­ter in Toledo, where she later died from her injuries. Police say it hap­pened just before 7pm Sun­day, when Her­sh­berger was east­bound on East River Drive and lost con­trol of the motor­cy­cle, which ran off on the north side of the road­way. The crash remains under investigation.
