A New Haven woman and her child were injured Saturday afternoon in an accident on I-69 about a mile south of Auburn. That crash happened at about 2:35pm Saturday, when 36-year-old Tara Shramek says she looked down to change the radio station, and when she looked up again, she saw the lanes were divided due to construction. That’s when police say she swerved but over corrected, which caused her vehicle to go off the road and down an embankment, then flip over, finally landing on the driver’s side.
Shramek complained of lower back pain. A child passenger in the vehicle suffered a fractured arm. Both were taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center. No word on whether any charges are being filed.
