Williams Commissioners Award WiFi Contract

The Williams County Commissioners on Monday, by a 2 to 1 vote, awarded a contract to Current TEKSolutions of Bryan to outfit the Hillside Country Living campus with W-Fi. The Bryan Times reports that Commissioners selected Current TEK’s bid over Sonit Systems of Archbold, and G6 Communications of Bluffton, Indiana after G6 submitted a bid of $24,021, Current TEK’s bid was $63,382 and Sonit’s bid was $93,665.88 to outfit all three Hillside buildings with Wi-Fi. The Times report goes on to say that the difference of more than $69,644 between Sonit’s high bid and G6’s low bid caused some serious questions among company representatives, Hillside staff and the commissioners at the bid opening at Hillside. According to company officials, the contract’s completion date of Dec. 15 is still on track.
