Carolyn M. (Eicher) Pfiester, age 70, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center. Carolyn was co-owner of Fountain City Office Products in Bryan. She had previously worked for the Military Sea Transportation Service in Washington, D.C. and Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and flowers. Her main hobby was genealogy. She was a member of the Williams County Genealogical Society and the Bean Creek Valley Historical Society.
Carolyn was born October 28, 1944, in Wauseon, Ohio, the daughter of Marion J. and Cathryn Louise (Sanford) Eicher. She was a graduate of Pittsford High School. She married Jack L. Pfiester on February 29, 1964 in Hillsdale, Michigan and he survives. Carolyn is also survived by her daughters, Teri (Faron) Blakeman, of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Tina (Grant) Richards, of Cornelius, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Austin and wife Heather, Jessica and Brandi Blakeman, Chelsea, Garrett and Madison Richards; siblings, Don (Anita) Eicher, of Alvordton, Mary Lou (Ervin) Shepherd, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, John (Linda) Eicher, of Cornelius, North Carolina and Steve (Ann) Eicher, of Montpelier. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Carolyn will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Lickly’s Corners Cemetery in Wright Township, Michigan.
