Tennessee Residents Arrested For Drugs After Traffic Stop

Two people from Tennessee were arrested late Saturday night on drug charges after items of drug candy turned up during a traffic stop on I-69 near Auburn. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department pulled over a vehicle at about 10:45pm for going 85 miles an hour. Inside were Timothy Cole and Clovis Jefferson, both from Antioch, Tennessee. During the traffic stop, a K-9 alerted on the vehicle, so it was searched. More than a pound of marijuana, a cookie containing marijuana and several items which contained T.H.C. turned up, along with 10 suckers, 11 individually packaged hard pieces of candy, seven bottles labeled Starbuzz Cannabis and a chocolate candy bar, all containing THC. A forty caliber hand gun which was allegedly stolen out of Tennessee was also discovered in the car. Charges against the two now include dealing in marijuana, hash oil, hashish and possession of those items. Cole was also arrested on a felony theft charge.
