Veterans Memorial Park stones to be replaced

15 monuments in the Veterans Memorial Park in Williams County will be replaced after a vote by the Board of Trustees recently. They’ll use 3 inch slabs of granite to give the stones some longetivity. Those slabs will have the names of every veteran from Willaims County, reports the Bryan Times. Board members say the cost of the rehab is reasonable and within reach. The new monuments will be phased in over three to ive years, Word War II first, then Korea, then Vietnam.
