Sergeant Patrick Tusko of the Defiance Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol was honored for his heroic actions during a crash. He was presented with the highest form of honor, the prestigious Superintendent’s Citation of Merit Award. Sergeant Tusko began his Patrol career in February 1997 as a member of the 128th Academy Class. He earned his commission in July of that year and is assigned to the Defiance Post. In 2013, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and remained at the Defiance Post to serve as an assistant post commander.
