A Montpelier man will be in Williams County Common Pleas Court today on murder charges. 22 year-old Bradly Gilbert is facing charges including aggravated murder, kidnapping, petty theft, grand theft auto and aggravated robbery in the death of Jonathan Hofner of Wauseon. The 28 year-old was found dead just off the St. Joseph River trail in Montpelier. Prosecutor Katherine Zartman said in a news conference Wednesday that Hofner died on October 10th. His body was found 15 days later. Gilbert is in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio with a $2 million bond. He’ll appear Thursday in a video arraignment.
