Canal Winchester man pleads guilty in bomb, hostage hoax

A man has pleaded guilty to induc­ing panic after he called in a bomb threat to Kalida Man­u­fac­tur­ing this sum­mer. 23-year-old Thomas Hollingsworth is sched­uled to be sen­tenced on Jan­u­ary 6th in Put­nam County Com­mon Pleas Court. Accord­ing to the Put­nam County Sheriff’s Office, they received a call from some­one who said there was a hostage sit­u­a­tion and bomb at the com­pany. The man said he was a ter­ror­ist and hung up after the dis­patcher began ask­ing ques­tions. Offi­cials deter­mined the call was made from inside the plant from a cell phone. No bomb was found, though they did find a lunch cooler with padlocks.
