Hicksville teen loses fight with cancer

Friends and fam­ily of a Hicksville high school stu­dent are in mourn­ing today after the 17-year-old lost his fight with bone can­cer. Noah Karac­son died on Tues­day. He was diag­nosed with Ewing sar­coma in 2012. The Hicksville com­mu­nity ral­lied around the well-liked teen, rais­ing money for his expenses and hon­or­ing him at foot­ball, plus upcom­ing wrestling and base­ball sea­sons. Friends printed “Team Noah” shirts and sold them for his ben­e­fit. He said the shirts were his strength. Funeral ser­vices for Noah Karac­son are pending.
