Cell phone tower proposed in Montpelier

Mont­pe­lier is been approached by a com­pany that wants to build a nearly 200 foot tall cell tower near Depot Street and the rail road tracks.
Vil­lage Man­ager Pam Lucas told Williams County com­mis­sion­ers yes­ter­day that the engi­neer­ing firm CTL Engi­neer­ing from Colum­bus that wants to build a tower for Ver­i­zon to improve cell phone recep­tion in and around the village.
The vil­lage is inter­ested in sell­ing the prop­erty to CTL engi­neer­ing for $62,500 say­ing they would pre­fer not to lease or rent out that site.
