About three months after a dangerous drug was released into the air system at the juvenile detention center in Stryker, the facility had a scarily similar incident on Tuesday evening, although officials say this one appears to have been a false alarm. First responders were dispatched to the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention, Training and Rehabilitation Center…after a child incarcerated there complained of headaches and lightheadedness. The Williams County Sheriff’s Office responded and ruled out the possibility of another drug release. On March 20, a drug later deemed a “fentanyl-like” substance was somehow released into the air system at the JDC, which holds juvenile offenders, primarily from Williams, Defiance and Fulton Counties.
