A New Siren For Edgerton

A new storm siren has been ordered and a coverage map is unveiled at the Edgerton Village Council meeting. The village was working with Moore Electronics on the issue and was referred to Federal Signal. Bryan and Napoleon also have Federal Signal storm sirens. Area officials met with Federal Signal to be trained on the requirements. The new siren has been shipped and is expected to be installed in the coming weeks at Town Hall. There were portions of the community that were left out of the current siren’s coverage area and the new siren will have a projection radius of 13,200 feet. The federal minimum requirement is 6,500 feet. Edgerton will now use just one siren at Town Hall instead of the multiple units that are currently spread around the village.
