Bryan Municipal Utilities department heads got their wish Tuesday as the Bryan Board of Public Affairs approved the purchase of a $302,688.50 hydro excavator. Water Superintendent Norm Echler and Electric Superintendent Al Sullivan agreed the new piece of equipment…which uses a jet of water to loosen soil while a vacuum hose sucks the water and soil out of the hole…will make their work faster and safer.
