A pair of Stryker police officers are leaving the department for jobs in Montpelier. Police Chief Steve Schlosser recognized the service of Lt. Hayworth Treace at the Monday’s Stryker Village Council meeting. Treace is leaving for a position with the Montpelier Police Department while part-time officer Randy Buehrer also recently resigned, also for a job in Montpelier. Officer Jordan Williams was promoted to lieutenant to replace Treace while Benjamin Saddoris was sworn in as a full-time police officer. Schlosser indicated that he is looking for additional part-time officers and said some potential patrolmen might be available from a current police academy.
