Accident on I-69 southbound near the 340 MM late Saturday night kills one, injuries another

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on I-69 southbound near the 340 MM late Saturday night. Just before 11 p.m. where authorities say 26 year old Roman V. Leon of Angola Indiana was northbound on I-69 in a 2000 Mazda pickup truck. Leon lost control of the vehicle on an ice covered bridge, striking a car driven by 22 year old Alyssa M. Bizefski of Auburn, Indiana. Bizefski was pronounced dead at the scene by the Steuben County Coroner’s Office from blunt force trauma. Leon was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center via Samaritan Helicopter for his injuries.
