Adjustments Made To Parking In Hicksville

In Hicksville, the Vil­lage Coun­cil on Mon­day, approved an amended ordi­nance des­ig­nat­ing spe­cial park­ing places down­town in the event of major park­ing prob­lems.

The amended ordi­nance allows for 15-minute park­ing in cer­tain areas between 5–9 p.m.

The Cres­cent News reports that the move comes in response to a request from Red Angel Pizza, which pre­vi­ously asked coun­cil to des­ig­nate a short-term park­ing space in front of the busi­ness for take­out cus­tomers when spe­cific down­town events take up the park­ing places through­out the down­town area.

The new ordi­nance will take effect in 30 days.
