Adrienne Pugh, 107

Adrienne M. Pugh, age 107, of Wauseon, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Fulton Manor.

She was born on October 28, 1906 in Salida, Colorado, the daughter of Arthur and Maude (Rout) Meeker. After her mother’s death in 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio, she made her home with her father’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Meekr in Bowling, Green, Ohio. She graduated from Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green Normal School (now B.G.S.U.). In 1927 she married F. Mercer Pugh, and he preceded her in death in 1991.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Wauseon and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a former member of the Wauseon Women’s Club, a member of the Wauseon Public Library Board, the Shakespeare Club, CCL, and many bridge clubs and the MLJ Club.

Adrienne was a woman of enormous grace who lived her life with quiet dignity.

She leaves a daughter, Shirley Williams of Napoleon, Ohio, two sons; Richard (Zoa) Pugh of Phoenix, AZ and John H. Pugh of Cincinnati; nine grandchildren; James Scruta of Napoleon, Cindy (Mark) George of North Carolina, Steve (Patty) Scruta of Mason, OH, Scott Scruta of San Antonio, TX, Michael Pugh, Patricia (Keith) Levine of Colorado, Deborah Ginter of AZ, Lance (Carrie) Pugh of Cincinnati, and Laura Pugh (deceased). Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon.
