Alice Virginia Potter, 82

Alice Virginia Potter, age 82, of Wauseon passed away February 19, 2021 in Toledo, Ohio. Prior to retirement, she worked at the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center of Henry County for more than 20 years.

Alice was born August 18, 1938 in Hudson, MI to the late Elwood and Eunice (Beck) Larned. She graduated from Wauseon High School. Alice was an active member at the Church of the Master in Wauseon, where she was greatly involved in the United Methodist Women’s group and served as a longtime delegate to the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Surviving Alice is her son, Mark Potter of Archbold; grandson, Josh Potter of Wauseon; granddaughter, Shelby Potter; granddaughter, Natasha Potter; granddaughter, Amanda (Chris) Asplin; and great-grandson, Aiden Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Michael Potter.

A memorial service for Alice will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2pm at the Church of the Master with Pastor Ben Sheaffer officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at the Ottokee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Church of the Master in Wauseon or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
