Alvordton man facing multiple drug possession and distribution charges along with involuntary manslaughter

A Defiance County grand jury has returned indictments against 36 year old Johnny Begley of Alvordton for causing the heroin-related death of a local man. Begley was indicted for involuntary manslaughter, along with trafficking in and possession of heroin. The indictment alleges that on June 25 Begley caused the death of Adren Coressel of Defiance as a result of trafficking in heroin. According to Prosecutor Morris Murray, Coressel’s ex-girlfriend discovered his body at an apartment in the 500 block of Clinton St. The charges also allege that following the execution of a search warrant at Begley’s residence, he was found in possession of heroin and materials related to the packaging and distribution of heroin.
