Angola Fire Statement Released

The Angola Fire Department has released a statement about a fire late last week in that community.

According to investigators, it was a ceiling-mounted heater that caught fire in a Steuben County Highway garage last Thursday.

Investigators say a gas leak on the outside of the garage was likely caused by ice falling off the roof which broke a regulator on the gas meter.

That fire caused minor damage, along with smoke and water damage throughout the garage. There were no injuries.
