Ohio’s sales tax holiday is almost here.

Ohio’s sales tax holiday is almost here. There are a few changes this year, including the extension of tax-free days. Earlier this year, Gov. Mike DeWine announced that he extended the annual sales tax holiday for 2024 to 10 days. It will start at midnight on July 30 and last until 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 8. Ohioans can make tax-free purchases in person or online on eligible items of up to $500. The sales tax holiday does not include an exemption for the purchase of watercraft, outboard motors, motor vehicles, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, vapor products or items that contain marijuana.
