Angola Man Sentenced As Criminal Deviant

An Angola man was sen­tenced Mon­day in Steuben Court to three years of a six year sen­tence after plead­ing guilty to a Class B felony of Crim­i­nal Deviant Con­duct.

The plea bar­gain agree­ment with pros­e­cu­tors was reached with 27-year-old Kile Stock­ert, who was also placed on pro­ba­tion for two years. Stock­ert was given credit for 189 days already served in jail. Three years of the sen­tenced was sus­pended and Com­mu­nity Cor­rec­tions was autho­rized by the court.

In exchange for the guilty plea, pros­e­cu­tors dis­missed a Class B felony of rape along with two other Class B felonies of Crim­i­nal Deviant Con­duct, two Class D felonies for Crim­i­nal Con­fine­ment and another Class D felony for Stran­gu­la­tion.

The charges against Stock­ert came about fol­low­ing alleged inci­dents last Decem­ber after Stock­ert and a 26-year-old woman got into an argu­ment while they were in a vehicle.
