Animal Trial Postponed

The trial of Vickie Cor­nell, owner of the Skinny Lit­tle Buddy’s Ani­mal Shel­ter in Edon, which was set to begin Mon­day in Bryan Munic­i­pal Court, has been delayed indef­i­nitely.

Last August, more than 50 ani­mals were seized from Cor­nell after they were found in poor liv­ing con­di­tions.

Cor­nell claimed she was just short-handed after sev­eral vol­un­teers quit, and the work to care for the ani­mals took her more than 14 hours each day on her own, and she sim­ply fell behind.

The trial, which the Bryan Times says may take up to three days, has not been re-scheduled.
