Approval of projects expected to create more than 2,300 jobs and retain more than 8,500 statewide.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik have announced the approval of 17 projects that are expected to create more than 2,300 jobs and retain more than 8,500 statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. The projects are expected to result in more than $148 million in new payroll and generate over $1.1 billion in investments across Ohio. Among them is a project proposed by Wieland Chase, LLC in Montpelier.
