Aqua Bounty…On Hold

Williams County Commissioners have suspended AquaBounty Technology’s environmental review process…and the release of funds, pending receipt of permits from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. As we reported…AquaBounty is planning a $200 million investment in Pioneer to create a nearly 500,000-square-foot facility…to raise and process genetically engineered salmon. Supporters of the facility say it’s not a major issue.
