ARCHBOLD TO REPLACE OFFICER

The Archbold village council on Monday accepted the resignation of one village worker and began a search for his replacement.

Jamie Rodriquez tendered his resignation after serving for almost 20 years as an Archbold Police Officer.

Rodriguez told council that health problems no longer allowed him to fulfill his duties. He has been on medical leave since December.

To replace Rodriguez, council looked toward hiring Jerry Brown as the village’s next full-time police officer.

Brown is currently a part-time and has been a member of the auxiliary force since October.
