At least 44 horses are dead after a barn caught fire Saturday afternoon in Logan County, Richland Township Assistant Fire Chief Jason Johns said. Firefighters were called to Brant Performance Horses on State Route 638 in Belle Center around 12:15 p.m. for reports of a fire. When crews arrived, they saw a 60,000-square-foot barn fully engulfed. Multiple area fire departments were called to assist in battling the fire.
