That $1 billion dollar bailout for two Ohio nuclear plants…tied to a bribery investigation at the Ohio Statehouse…is now one step closer to being eliminated. Lawmakers, in both the House and Senate, approve legislation that would repeal the bailout, sending it to Gov., DeWine, who is expected to sign it. The legislation would get rid of electricity bill surcharges that were created in 2019…to pay for the bailout of the nuclear power plant near Oak Harbor…as well as the Perry plant, east of Cleveland.
