The Brady Township Fire Department is one step closer to a new set of Jaws of Life after a free-will breakfast held Saturday morning. The department hosts two breakfasts every year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Captain Pete Stipe told the Bryan Times it is a breakfast that started about 10 years ago and they’ve always offered pancakes and sausage and gravy and baked goods. The funds, he said, are used for miscellaneous fire and rescue equipment. At the moment, the department is looking to update their Jaws of Life. He added it is a good way to open up the facility to the public and allow the firefighters to interact with the citizens they serve. The breakfast doesn’t raise all the money but it will supplement it.
