Breaking ground on new Defiance school

The Defiance City Schools Board of Education broke ground on the the distict’s current construction project at their regular Wednesday meeting. The new building will be for grades 6 through 12 for Defiance City Schools. Construction at the site has actually been underway since April.
The school schedules last year were changed to 7:50 a.m. and end times were changed to 2:55 p.m. More coordinated grading scales at both schools were also added. High School principal Bob Morton said students will have an easier transition said. “That way when we’re in the same building, we can transition as smoothly as possible.”
