Brian W. Bleikamp, 50 years, of Alvordton, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 in his residence. Brian was born September 19, 1963 in Montpelier to John and Martha (Setzler) Bleikamp. He was a 1981 graduate of Four County Vocational School, where he studied Diesel Mechanics. He was a machine operator for TRW in Fayette the past 25 years. He formerly worked at Challenge Cook and also farmed. He enjoyed his Goldwing motorcycle as well as his two Camaro’s. Brian was a talented individual who could fix just about anything.
Surviving is his mother and stepfather, Martha and Bill Lambert Sr. of Bryan; three brothers, Bruce (Kay) Bleikamp of Alvordton, Brad (Connie) Bleikamp of Edgerton and William (Karla) Lambert Jr. of Bryan; one sister, Kimberly (Jason) Herman of Edgerton; several nieces and nephews; Aunts and Uncles, Betty Lambert of Bryan, Judy (Ron) Phillips of Lafayette, Indiana, Anna (Don) Rankin of Ravenna, Ohio, Melva (Denny) Heams of Michigan, Fred (Sally) Bleikamp of Alvordton and Mark (Phyllis) Bleikamp of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his father, John Bleikamp; one niece, Samantha Bleikamp; grandparents, Carl and Ruth Setzler, Lowie and Gertrude Lambert as well as Fred and Vava Bleikamp; one aunt, Mary Echler and one uncle, Phil Bleikamp.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in Floral Grove Cemetery, County Road K. West Unity, with Pastor Dick Buchsteiner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to The American Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
