Bryan Area Foundation Prospering

The Bryan Area Foun­da­tion had its semi-annual meet­ing yes­ter­day and pro­nounced the foun­da­tion in excel­lent finan­cial con­di­tion. The chair­man, Chip Wood, revealed that the assets are now 22 mil­lion dol­lars, and that will allow the foun­da­tion to give out nearly 700 thou­sand dol­lars in future schol­ar­ships and grants. IN 45 years the foun­da­tion has dis­trib­uted 8 mil­lion dol­lars to the com­mu­nity. The foun­da­tion offices are mov­ing to the back of the Shultz Huber build­ing on East High Street in Decem­ber and it will host an open house in January.
