BRYAN BALLOT

Although five names for Bryan’s Board of Public Affairs are on the Nov. 5 ballot, only four candidates are still in the race. The Bryan Times is reporting that Incumbent Bill Yahraus has withdrawn, due to health reasons.\

The remaining candidates for BPA include Karen Ford, Richard Long, Jim Salsbury and Mary Burns.

Incumbent Mayor Douglas Johnson is running for a fourth term.

All seven were asked how they intended to vote on Issue 6, the 7.45-mill bond issue to raise $32,767,891 for new school facilities in Bryan.

All four BPA candidates declined to giv an answer.
