Bryan City council and the Bryan Board of Public Affairs agree on new human resources director.

The Bryan City council and the Bryan Board of Public Affairs agree on a new human resources director following a joint meeting this week. Tricia Lyons will take over the post, effective Oct. 16, pending successful completion of a background check and drug screening. There will also be a one-year probationary period. Lyons has nearly 12 years’ experience in HR as a senior generalist at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, where she handles a multitude of HR responsibilities for a workforce of over 750 employees. Lyons replaces Jackie Schlacter, who resigned from the position in July. Schlacter had been with the city for 18 years.
