A car fire closes the Carpenter Road overpass on Highway 24. The driver of the vehicle, Edward Pursel of Bryan was driving when the vehicle he was in broke down. That’s when the fire started. Pursel is okay. 24 was closed in both directions, between Ohio 66 and Domersville Road for a time, while crews cleared the scene. An investigation into the incident is underway.
