A Bryan man was sentenced in Williams County Common Pleas Court recently on an assault charge with a prison term that could exceed 10 years. 30 year old Roemallo Taylor was handed a 5 to 7 1/2 year sentence on a charge of felonious assault, a second-degree felony with a prior conviction specification. The term was ordered to run consecutive to a sentence of almost four years imposed on a previous involuntary manslaughter charge in Montgomery County. Specifically, Taylor’s post-release control on the manslaughter charge – filed in 2014 – was revoked as a result of his Williams County conviction and he was ordered to serve the remaining time which totaled 1,457 days.
