In her State of the City address to the council on Monday night, Bryan’s Mayor reflected on a successful year and looked ahead to several significant projects. Mayor Carrie Schlade noted that the city’s budget for this year is $42 million, and that the entire city budget is $72 million when the almost $30 million budget for Bryan Municipal Utilities (BMU) is added. She did point out that roughly $10 million of the city’s budget for the wastewater treatment plant restoration was carried over from the year before.
