On Monday, Bryan Municipal Utilities will start its yearly hydrant flushing operation. As crews methodically flush hydrants throughout the community, the job is anticipated to go for several weeks.  An essential component of water system maintenance is hydrant flushing. This procedure eliminates debris that can accumulate in water mains, ensures excellent water quality, and confirms that hydrants are operating properly.  Customers may experience a brief discoloration of their water or a drop in water pressure while flushing. Residents are advised not to do laundry during this time to avoid stains, even though the water is still safe.
