Bryan Rite Aid store to close Jan. 25th.

After Rite Aid declared bankruptcy last year and named nearly 200 stores that were closing due to the process, the Bryan store avoided the list at the time, but it couldn’t avoid another round of cuts. Bryan’s Rite Aid, on W. High St., will close Jan. 25, officials say. Factors for store closings include its overall business strategy, lease and rent, store performance and local business conditions. The company didn’t say what will happen to the prescription services, but added the company will “make every effort” to make sure customers have access to pharmacy-based health services, be it another Rite Aid or other pharmacy. Rite Aid is also the only Ohio State Liquor Agency store in Williams County, making it the only store where customers can purchase high-proof liquor. This is controlled by Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of Liquor Control.
