It’s a busy place…
The Defiance compost site closed for the season last month, but is sure did get plenty of use this year.
The site, which is open three days a week for about eight months annually, closed for the year on Nov. 26. It’s planned to open again in March.
Plant records showed that 7,552 persons used the site at different times in 2013 to deposit their unbagged grass clippings, leaves, garden refuse, brush, shrubs and limbs under 12 inches in diameter. The site opened on March 19th this year.
