In Steuben County…three people are hurt in a Saturday afternoon crash involving a motorcycle and a car, near Hamilton. Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of State Road 1 and County Road 500 south…near Otsego Township for the two vehicle accident. Officials tell reporters, 71 year old Frankie Handshoe of Hamilton, was eastbound on the 500, when he pulled out into the path of a southbound motorcycle. The rider…51 year old, John King of Garrett was unable to avoid the car…he ran into the drivers side door of Handshoe’s car. King was treated on scene and then taken to Parkview in Ft Wayne…in serious, but stable condition. Handshoe and his passenger, 49 year old Georgie Teegardin of Hamilton were both treated at the scene and then transported to Cameron Memorial in stable condition. Neither alcohol nor speed are believed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation continues.
