Caroll J. Middaugh, 87

Caroll J. Middaugh, 87, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Vancrest of Hicksville.  Caroll was born January 3, 1936, in Newville, Indiana, daughter of the late Dallas and Garcia (Crabill) Cook.  She was a 1954 graduate of Butler High School.  Caroll married Thurman L.J. Middaugh on June 19, 1954, in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2021.  In addition to raising four boys, she worked as a nurse’s aide and cook at the former Fountain Manor Care Center in Hicksville.  Caroll was a member of the Hicksville VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3011, where she could be found playing Bingo or cooking for one of their fundraisers.  Caroll was an avid bowler in her younger years, and later in life enjoyed sewing, and completing puzzles and crossword puzzles.

Caroll is survived by her three sons, Howard Middaugh of Auburn, Indiana, Ronnie Middaugh of Hicksville, and Danny Middaugh of the Hicksville; and one sister.  Caroll was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Thurman; one son, Bradley Middaugh; four brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation for Caroll J. Middaugh will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 10:00 A.M – 11:00 A.M. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville.  Funeral services for Caroll will follow in the funeral home beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Celebrant Patricia Peter officiating.  Interment will follow in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville.
