A man is wounded and a woman taken into custody in Findlay. Officials say Jasmine Kirkland stabbed Mario Altman at a Center St. address. When police arrived, Altman was outside, conscious and alert with a stab wound. He was taken to the hospital.

Fatal Wood County Fire

Wood County deputies are investigating a vehicle fire Saturday that killed one person, on U.S. 6, just east of Rangeline Road. When Weston Fire and EMS arrived, they extinguished the blaze quickly. It was determined the car was occupied by one occupant, who perished in the flames.

Airstream Announces Expansion

The company that makes Airstream travel trailers plans to expand its factory in Ohio and create 280 new jobs. Airstream Inc. says it will break ground on the $40 million project in Jackson Center this spring. The company is a subsidiary of Thor Industries, based in Elkhart.

CCNO Funding Moves

In Stryker, board members voted to place 2017 unused funds, totaling $258,549, into the CCNO reserve account. Members were informed the account balance stood at $392,000. State auditors recommended a reserve account of $800,000 to $1 million in the event of unexpected emergencies for the prison.

Library Burglar Faces Charges

Katelynn Jones of Wauseon is indicted by a grand jury and charged with felony breaking and entering at the Bryan Branch of the Williams County Public Library. Prosecutors say it happened after hours between July 16-17 of last year. She was also charged with credit card theft and drug possession.
